Mrs. Helen M. Argo, 86 of Frederick died Sunday, February 14 at the Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy. She was the wife of Donald I. Argo, Sr., who died January 7, 1991.
Born October 6, 1923 in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Margaret E. Haller Miller.
She had been employed as a secretary at the National Institute of Health.
Surviving are two children: Donald I. Argo, Jr. of Hagerstown and Sandra A. Freeman and husband William of Frederick; four grandchildren: Kathleen M. Price and husband Harry, P. Michael Mulgrew and wife Stacey and Jacquelyn Erin Freeman all of Frederick and John Erik Freeman of Virginia; eight great grandchildren: John M. Price, Benjamin L. Price, Timothy J. Price, Amber N. Kloper, Morgan K. Mulgrew, Ryan M. Mulgrew, Julia A. Freeman and Emmaline E. Freeman; and a sister: Mary C. Skumurski of Schnectady NY. She will also be remembered by a close family friend: Brent L. Johnson. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Frank Thomas Miller, George W. Miller, William D. Miller, Jr. and Lewis C. Miller; and four sisters: Margaret Ellen Miller, Nettie L. Higdon, Rose M. Smith and Lucy E. Callaway.
Mrs. Argo is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 North Market Street, Frederick where the family will receive friends Friday, February 19 from 10-11 a.m. at which time services will begin with the Reverend L. Samuel Martz officiating.
Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Argo to Kline Hospice House, 7000 Kimmel Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
