Mr. Richard Ferris “Dick” Busch, Jr., 79 of Frederick died Sunday, February 7 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Virginia Harwood Busch, whom he married in 1951.
Born April 16, 1930 in Buffalo, New York, he was a son of the late Richard Ferris and Eleanor Banks Busch, Sr.
Mr. Busch worked on missiles in the Space Program at Cape Canaveral in the 50’s. He was also a flight instructor and retired executive of AOPA. He was a model airplane enthusiast and was a member of the U.S. Air Force QB group.
Mr. Busch was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving besides his wife at home are three children: Linda Jeanne Dilembo and husband Michael of Seattle, WA, Deborah Anne Parks of Las Vegas NV and Richard Howard Busch and wife Janie of Moore SC; and three grandchildren: Zack Dilembo of Seattle WA, and Jaqueline Busch and Christopher Busch both of Moore SC. He was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Fleming.
Mr. Busch is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 North Market Street, Frederick. There will be no calling or visiting at the funeral home.
Funeral services and Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
