Mr. James Kevin Gumm, 49 of Smithsburg died Wednesday, February 24 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster.
Born June 6, 1960, he was a son of Carriemae Rhodes Gumm of Smithsburg and the late Kenneth Gumm, Sr.
Mr. Gumm had been a self employed mechanic. He loved Harley Davidsons.
Surviving besides his mother are two children: Brian Sanders of Baltimore and Jamie Gumm and husband Patrick Sandy of Keymar; three grandchildren: Carrick Kelley of Baltimore, Devin Cerny and Dawson Sandy both of Keymar; three brothers: Kenneth Gumm, Jr. of WV, John Gumm of PA and Ronnie Gumm of Smithsburg; and special aunt with whom he had a very close bond: Florence Rhodes Baker of Blue Ridge Summit PA. Several Nieces and nephews also survive. He will also be remembered by his close friends: David Charles Renner, Jr., Vernon Samuel Renner and Judith Diane Hagan all of Keymar.
Mr. Gumm is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 East Main Street, Thurmont. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 4 from 11-1 p.m. at which time a memorial service will begin with Pastor James Hosey, Sr., Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church , officiating.
Inurnment will be in Keysville Lutheran Cemetery, Keysville.
