Mrs. Ruth Eyler Fraley, 89 of Thurmont died Tuesday, February 16 at Donahoe Manor in Bedford PA. She was the wife of James Royston Fraley, Sr., who died December 27, 1992. Born September 16, 1920 in New Midway, she was a daughter of the late Ammon Benjamine and Fannie Catherine Grimes Eyler. Mrs. Fraley had been employed at the Thurmont Shoe Factory and the Airpax Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Catoctin United Methodist Church, Thurmont. Mrs. Fraley was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are two sons: James "John" R. Fraley, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Clearville PA and Franklin A. Fraley and wife Faye of Federalsburg MD; four grandchildren: Lisa M. Moya and husband Alfred of Bay City TX, Brian D. Fraley of Fort Worth TX, Thomas J. Fraley and wife Kimberly of Felton DE and Leslie Fraley of Federalsburg MD; three great granddaughters: Constance L. Fraley of Felton DE, Carleigh Fraley of Federalsburg MD and Megan Moya of Bay City TX; and a sister-in-law: Hilda Eyler of Lewistown. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She will also be remembered by a special friend: Delores Frye. She was preceded in death by a sister: May Ardinger; and two brothers: Tunnie Eyler and Roland Eyler. Mrs. Fraley is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 East Main Street, Thurmont where friends may call from 1-9 p.m. Monday, February 22. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 23 at the funeral home with her pastor the Reverend Daniel Andrew officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Fraley to the Catoctin United Methodist Church, 7009 Kellys Store Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
