Mrs. Marie Catherine Stull Smith, 90 of Frederick died Wednesday, February 3 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Dallas Leroy Smith, who died December 29, 1986. Born February 11, 1919 in Mountaindale, she was a daughter of the late Ethel Stull Gilbert. Mrs. Smith was a longtime member of the Walkersville Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. She was homemaker and worked in various jobs outside of the home. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. The majority of her time was spent with her Christian friends and family. She enjoyed sharing scriptural truth with others. She will lovingly be remembered by her family and friends especially her granddaughter Terry Ridenour of Frederick and close friend Minnie Dewees of Middletown. Mrs. Smith was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are children: Eugene W. Stull of Auburndale FL, Richard F. Smith of Clear Springs, Dean E. Smith of Berkeley Springs WV, Charlotte R. Craver of Mountaindale and Yvonne K. Auge of Boonsboro; thirty-one grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Alice Crebbs ; a son: Robert L. Smith; and a grandson: Samuel Smith. Mrs. Smith is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 North Market Street, Frederick where friends may call from 1-9 p.m. Monday, February 8. The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 9 at the funeral home with Andy Ramsburg, the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses Walkersville Congregation, officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Smith to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses-Walkersville Congregation, 11136 Old Frederick Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
