Mrs. Pamela Darlene Hobbs, 48 of Fairfield died Tuesday, February 2 at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. She was the wife of Andrew L. Hobbs, whom she married June 1, 1996. Born August 14, 1961 in Frederick, she was a daughter of Robert L. and Betty Elizabeth Sherry Gray, Sr of Thurmont. Mrs. Hobbs was a graduate of Catoctin High School, Class of 1979. She was a member of Harriet Chapel Episcopal Parish, Catoctin Furnace. She had been employed at Frederick Memorial Hospital for 25 years in patient accounts. She was a former student and later taught dance at ESP Studio of Dance in Thurmont. She loved to ride with her dad on his Harley and mow her grass on her John Deere. Surviving besides her husband and parents is a daughter: Halley Hobbs of Fairfield, and a son: Dennis Andrew, Jr. of Thurmont; four grandchildren: Diego Andrew and Dennis Andrew both of CA, Beau Andrew and Colt Andrew both of Thurmont; mother –in-law and father-in-law: James Hobbs Sr. and Florence Hobbs of Fairfield PA; a brother: Robert L. Gray Jr. and wife Kathy of Thurmont; two sister-in-laws: Deborah Himes and Susan Hobbs; brother-in-laws: James Hobbs Jr. and wife Joan, David Hobbs, Steve Hobbs and wife Angie, Robert Herr Jr. and Chris Herr; and very devoted friends: Candy Andrew, Brenda Watkins, Lauri Whipp and many devoted friends at FMH. Mrs. Hobbs is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 East Main Street, Thurmont where the family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, February 4. On Friday, February 5 Mrs. Hobbs will be removed to the Harriet Chapel Episcopal Parish, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, where she will lie in state from 9-10 a.m. at which time services will begin with the Reverend Sally Joyner-Giffin officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Lewistown. The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Hobbs to Harriet Chapel Episcopal Parish, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
