Mrs. Suzanne Cregger Riley, 45 of Myersville died Monday, January 4 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born June 12, 1964 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Raymond Poole of New Market and Barbara Stull of Nebraska.
Mrs. Riley was a graduate of Catoctin High School, Class of 1982. She had been employed as at Mountain Gate Restaurant . She was a very avid reader and loved playing games on Pogo. She also collected unicorns. She was a member of the Way Station Inc. of Frederick. She donated some of her vital organs to recipients.
Surviving besides her parents are her adopted parents: Wayne Cregger and wife Rosella of Emmitsburg; many brothers and sisters including her brother: Jeff Poole of Hagerstown; a half sister: Shana Fried of New York; and foster sisters: Tina Smith of Thurmont and Kimberly Smith of Ijamsville. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She will also be remembered by a very special close friend: Kathryn Anders of Myersville and special friends: Annette "Nettie" Williams of Michigan, Jenna Holderness and Helen Hood both of Frederick and Lori Sweeney Mull of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a brother: Melvin Cregger.
Mrs. Riley is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 East Main Street, Thurmont. There will be no calling or visiting at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23 at the Grace Trinity United Church of Christ, 9501 Old Baltimore Road, Frederick with the Reverend Dr. Elsabeth V. Hilke officiating.
Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Riley to the Way Station, Inc., 230 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
