Mrs. Naomi Elizabeth Rice, 83, of Frederick, died Thursday December 31st at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ralph Eugene Rice, who died December 27, 2000.
Born near Hagerstown, February 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Clara Mae Marker Reese.
She was a homemaker and seamstress during her married life. She was a member of the Monocacy Conregation Church of the Brethren, Rocky Ridge.
Surviving is her Sister: M. Eloise Strite and husband Ellis of Williamsport. Several nieces and
nephews also survive. She was preceeded in death by her daughter Joann Marie, and her brother Roger H. Reese.
Mrs. Rice is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A. 615 E. Main Street, Thurmont.
There will be no calling or viewing at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends Monday January 4, from 9;00 am. to 11:00 am. at the Monocacy Church of the Brethren, 13517 Motter Station Road, Rocky Ridge. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church with her pastor Rev. David Collins officiating.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
